Philanthropy Together is a new global initiative building a thriving collective giving movement to democratize and diversify philanthropy. It launched in April 2020 after a year of co-designing the initiative together with more than a hundred networks, leaders, researchers, and supporters in the field including many from CCG—Community Investment Network, Latino Community Foundation, and Asian American-Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy. Philanthropy Together is working to scale the movement to 3,000 giving circles by 2025 with a specific focus on communities of color, the LGBTQ community, faith minorities, and women to ensure the rich tradition of community giving from the cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs most often missed in formal philanthropy is centered. The five-year initiative seeks to realize a world full of passionate, empowered, diverse individuals giving collectively and intentionally to create the world they want to see.
